Ivan Zhuo
"ourview was created to make photography more human, accessible, and meaningful again.
Today, many young people encounter photography through algorithms, expensive equipment, and the pressure to perform online. This environment often prioritizes visibility over authenticity, and popularity over personal expression. ourview exists as a response to that.
At its core, ourview is a youth-led platform that reconnects creativity with community. We believe photography should be a tool for reflection, documentation, and storytelling—not something shaped by trends or gatekeeping. By lowering barriers to access and centering lived experience, we aim to empower young people to create work that feels honest, grounded, and their own.
I hope ourview encourages you to slow down, look closely, and trust your perspective. The most meaningful stories are often the ones closest to us."
